Beets verge on the cusp of being labelled a super food thanks to high content of calcium, iron and vitamins A and C. An excellent source of fibre and a super source of folic acid. Not to mention beetroot greens, they can be enjoyed in the same way that spinach is!

Antioxidants are also contained within and they are also one of the richest sources of the amino acid glutamine which isĀ essential to the health and maintenance of the intestinal tract.
